Space Builder Guide: Steps Overview

Space Builder Steps Overview

Below is a brief overview of all the steps that are available in the Space Builder. This is intended to help you familiarize yourself with the sponsor space building process. Each of the steps listed below is discussed in greater detail in the later sections of this guide.

  • The name you enter in this step will be displayed in the event’s directory of sponsors. This name may also be used as your sponsor space logo if you do not have an image. Your company logo is always preferred.
  • This step allows you to select a visual representation of your sponsor space. This is the graphic the visitor will see when they enter your sponsor space. There are several different sponsor space styles to choose from. Space styles are chosen for aesthetic value or to match your corporate image, however each style offers identical functionality.
  • This step allows you to choose the primary and secondary colors for your sponsor space. These can be your company’s colors, or colors that compliment or highlight your company logo.
  • This step allows you to add a logo or a title to your sponsor space by linking to an image that is hosted on your company's website or uploading a file from your local or network drive. If a company logo is not available, you can elect to display a text version of your company’s name; you can select the font and color of the text.
  • This step allows you to add a brief message that will pop-up when the users mouse over your sponsor space on the event floor. This is a great opportunity to drive attendees to your sponsor space by highlighting content.
  • This step allows you to add a static image, an animated image, or a video to your sponsor space by either linking to a file that is hosted on your company's website or by uploading a file from your local or network drive. The front screen is a eventcase area within the sponsor space and a video welcome is the perfect use for this video screen.
  • This step allows you to configure a marquee message in your sponsor space. This feature is not available for the Responsive sponsor space layout.
  • Once you have all of your documents and links added, the tabs you create will allow you to compile relative information together for easy access by sponsor space visitors. This step allows you to add documents or links to your sponsor space by either linking to a file that is hosted on your company's website or uploading a file from your local or network drive. The maximum number of files and links that can be added to your sponsor space is defined by the host and displayed at the top.
  • This step allows you to configure the number, the titles, and the order of all the tabs that you want to place in your sponsor space and determine what type of content is displayed under each. Note: The number and type of tabs will vary depending upon the configuration of your event. Check with your event host or your primary event contact for more information.
    • Chat Room
Choosing this option allows you set up a chat room in your sponsor space. You can create the chat room and then assign it to your content tab.
    • External Webpage:
Choosing this option allows you to configure the tab to open a specified secure URL.
    • HTML Content
Choosing this option allows you to configure the tab to display a custom HTML page. You can copy and paste HTML code, or use the “Edit HTML” button to edit the content and formatting of the page that will be displayed. This option is perfect if you would like to create a custom web page that is not already hosted on another website.
    • Message Board
Choosing this option allows you set up a message board in your sponsor space. You can create the message board and then assign it to your content tab.

When the staffers log into the event, they are displayed in your sponsor space under the “Space Staff” tab and can interact with sponsor space visitors. It is important that you determine your sponsor space staff and ensure their availability for the sneak preview day and the live presentation day. Like an in-person presentation, having the right staff supporting your sponsor space can make all the difference in the quality of the overall experience for the presentation attendees.
  • You can provide a list of keywords to associate with your space. When someone performs a search, the search phrase they provide will be compared to the list of search terms you have defined. Type the list of words below with each word separated by a comma. (ex. "affiliate, network, consulting")
  • Upload multiple videos that display in your welcome panel. Users upload the video(s) to view through by selecting the browse button.
  • This step allows you to setup and schedule breakout rooms within your booth.

IMPORTANT: The order and/or title of each step may differ from event to event, however the capabilities of each step outlined below will remain the same.
