COMPUTER TIPS

Be sure your system is ready to go for the event. Here are a few tips and tricks that will help.

Technical Requirements

To interact with the online environment requires a Windows PC with Internet Explorer 8, 9 or 10, Firefox 17, 18 or 19, or Google Chrome 24, 25 or 26. Mac with Firefox 17, 18 or 19, Safari 5.0 - 5.1 or 6 and Google Chrome 24, 25 or 26 are also supported. We support Windows XP, Windows Vista, and Windows 7 or 8 on PCs. Snow Leopard, Lion, and Moutain Lion are supported on Macs. Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server Release 6.2 (64 bit) and Fedora Linux Server 16 are also supported operating systems. Microsoft Silverlight 5 is required. Access to the internet using high speed access (Cable, DSL, Network) is highly recommended for the overall environment and is required for all presentations. Pop-up blockers must also be disabled and cookies and JavaScript should be enabled. On entering the environment, a system check is run which will identify computer requirements that need to be addressed to interact with the online environment. It is recommended to view the environment with the display resolution of 1024 x 768. To run the system check, click here.
