Brian Barnier is a distinguished instructor and author with over 20 years of experience in both business line and IT roles across financial services, telecommunications, manufacturing, oil & gas and health care industries. Brian will teach you how to get better business results from IT by balancing risk and return -- whether cutting costs or seizing opportunity -- and improve IT governance and management.

He has presented popular podcasts for SearchCIO.com, and has over 100 published articles for business operations, finance, technology, audit, risk, security and business continuity audiences. He is co-author to ISACA’s “Risk-IT Framework and Best Practice” and is the chair of the ISACA IT GRC Conference. As a respected author and frequent industry speaker, he incorporates his unique perspective as practitioner, member of industry best practices committees, researcher and teacher into his presentations. Mr. Barnier has led teams to nine US patents and developed deep financial models; he is equally conversant with the CIO, COO and CFO.


About Anton Chuvakin
Log management and Security Expert, SIEM, PCI DSS, Strategy Consulting

As a recognized security expert in the field of log management and PCI DSS compliance, Anton Chuvakin has published dozens of papers on log management, SIEM, correlation, security data analysis, PCI DSS, security management. He is an author of the books "Security Warrior" and "PCI Compliance," and a contributor to "Know Your Enemy II," "Information Security Management Handbook," and others. His blog, "Security Warrior," is one of the most popular in the industry.

In addition, Anton teaches at many security conferences across the world; he recently addressed audiences in United States, UK, Singapore, Spain and Russia. He works on emerging security standards and serves on advisory boards of several security start-ups. Dr. Anton Chuvakin was formerly a Director of PCI Compliance Solutions at Qualys, and before that worked at LogLogic as a Chief Logging Evangelist, tasked with educating the world about the importance of logging for security, compliance and operations.


About Diane Carlisle, CRM
Deputy Executive Director and Sr. Director of Content Development for ARMA International

Diane’s primary specialties are records management strategy and policy development, the role of records management in litigation support, and the creation and application of international and national level standards. She is a frequent speaker/writer on records and information management topics.

Diane provides direction for the development of ARMA’s educational offerings and represents the association in various professional venues. In addition, she works with executive leadership in executing ARMA International’s strategic plans.

Diane has over 25 years of experience in the field of records and information management and has worked for organizations in a variety of industries. Prior to ARMA, Diane held positions with Baker Robbins & Company (technology consultants to the legal industry) and in the information management consulting practice at Duff & Phelps.


About Julie Gable, CRM, CDIA, MIT, LIT, FAI
President and Founder, Gable Consulting LLC

Named a Fellow of ARMA International (FAI) in recognition of distinguished service to the information management profession

Julie Gable has over 25 years of professional experience with real-world approaches to paper and electronic records management. Her specialty is strategic planning for electronic records management, including business case development, cost-benefit analysis, requirements definition and work plan prioritization. Her project experience includes defining policy and practices for records classification, indexing, retention and disposition. She has assisted many entities with specification and selection of records management software solutions. 

Over 20 years ago, Gable founded Gable Consulting LLC, an independent firm that specializes in electronic records management strategy and implementation. The company continues to serve clients in pharmaceuticals, government, financial services and other industries, delivering practical, real-world approaches to information management challenges.

Gable is the Associate Executive Editor of ARMA’s Information Management Journal. Her articles have appeared in The Records and Retrieval Report, Imaging World, The Dallas News, Finance Canada, Forbes, and CIO Decisions.


About Frank McGovern
Program Director, Information Lifecycle Governance, IBM

Frank McGovern has over 25 years of hands-on experience with records management. He is the former records officer for the US Air Force where he developed programs, policies and standards directly impacting over 500,000 people, not including veterans and the general public. Later, Frank worked for several commercial firms specializing in records management consulting, implementation, integration and software product development.
