Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I ask a question?
To ask question, simply locate the ‘Questions’ or ‘Ask a Question’ tab in the presentation window. Type your question into the Questions’ or ‘Ask a Question’ tab and click on the Submit Question button generally located next to or below the ‘Ask a Question’ field.
2. How are questions answered?
If enabled, text responses can be found by clicking on the ‘Questions’ or ‘Ask a Question’ tab. This tab is automatically marked "Updated" as questions are answered.

3. Can I see questions that other viewers have asked?
No. The "Q&A" tab only displays questions that have a text response.
4. Can I download the presentation?
A download of the audio/video of the session is not available in the console window; if you would like a copy of the session contact the show host for more information.

NOTE: In many instances show hosts will make sessions available on demand for replay within the environment which will allow continued access. For information regarding on demand archive availability contact the show host.
5. Where can I find whitepapers and other materials referenced in the presentation?
If there are handouts made available for download, they will be located along the top of the presentation or on the bottom right hand corner.
6. The presentation will not play. My computer displays the message
     "Connecting to Server...Please Wait."
Your network configuration or internet security software is preventing you from connecting to the streaming media. See the guide for troubleshooting connectivity issues.
7. I can see the video/slides, but I do not hear the audio.
Audio will be broadcast through your computer speakers. Verify that your speakers are turned on and the volume is turned up. Then, make sure that your computer's audio is not muted from within the operating system. There is a volume controller in the upper left corner of the webcast window. Make sure that the slider is set at an adequate level. Also, please ensure that the “Mute” icon is not selected in the controller. If all of those items have been reviewed and you are still not hearing audio, please refresh your browser.


8. I can access the presentation, but I cannot view the slides/ the slides are not changing.
Try refreshing the presentation by selecting the ‘Refresh’ icon within your window browser or closing out and re-launching the presentation.

If you are viewing a non-streaming version of an event or web-conference, you may need to download the latest Java Virtual Machine. Go to http://java.com/en/index.jsp to download the latest Java Virtual Machine.

If you have joined a presentation, which has already started, please wait a few moments. The slides are either synchronized with the event and will flip with the next timed marker in the presentation. If you feel there is an error viewing the slides, please enter a question in the question queue for technical support who can provide live insight into what they should be seeing at that moment.
9. I can hear the audio but can't see the slides/video.
Please make sure that your Flash is up-to-date. Ensure your computer meets the most up to date System Requirements. If you are in a supported browser and version please ensure there are no other programs running on your computer.
10. Video or audio playback is choppy.
Your Internet connection may not be fast enough to display high quality streaming video. Try to limit other activity (such as downloads and file sharing programs) on your Internet connection.

Close other programs on your computer that you don’t need. If the problem persists and you’re sure your Internet connection is fast enough, reboot your computer.

If no other applications are running, use the guide for troubleshooting connectivity issues.
11. Pressing the “Attend Now” button doesn’t do anything.
If you have a pop-up blocking software installed and it is active, it may be blocking the presentation console from opening. You may need to temporarily disable the pop-up blocking software in order to participate in the event.

12. I received a message saying the event is not currently available.
The message received states “Sorry, This Presentation Is Not Available The next run time is XX:XX PM on X/X/2011 Current Server Time is XX:XX AM on X/X/2011”

This message is shown to a user trying to access a presentation that has not yet been broadcasted.

If the presentation is currently running and you are viewing the message, please update your profile to reflect your currently Time Zone.

The message received states “Sorry, This Presentation Is Not Available. This Presentation is Over”
  1. The event may no longer be available.
  2. The event you are trying to access has concluded but the on-demand version is not yet available.
  3. The event may have only been available for live access.

Please contact the Event host to ensure you are given the correct information.
13. Pressing the “Attend Now” button doesn’t do anything.
For additional support, please contact the Help tab. You can also type your question into the Questions box in the presentation and submit it for a response. If available, you can also go to the Help Booth to chat directly with the Help Booth staff. The Help Booth, is generally located in the toolbar.
14. What to do if I am have troubleshooting connectivity issues.
If you are experiencing problems connecting to the webcast or playback is poor, it may be due to the configuration of your company's network. Please select the link below to further troubleshoot your computer:

15. What does the magnifying glass on the slides tab do?
The magnifying glass on the slides tab allows you to open the slides in a new window. This does not enlarge the slides view.

If there is a video playing in the slides window this will allow you to open the video in a new window to watch the playback of the video at its actual size.

16. Is there a phone bridge that I should dial into?
A participant phone bridge is not needed for presentations. The audio stream directly through your computer speakers.
17. How do I rewind or Fast Forward an OnDemand Presentation?
The controls to rewind or fast forward an OnDemand presentation are located on the media player in the presentation window. Simply hover over the player for the controls to become visible.

Click on the back or forward player controls to advance or go back through the slides. You can also drag the playback head to move throughout the presentation.
18. How do I enlarge the video window?
You can enlarge your video by clicking on the “Full Screen” icon that appears when you hover over the video window.
