Guru Chahal Bio:

Guru Chahal works in the Product Management area for Cisco’s Unified Computing System, where he manages the fabric related components that are part of UCS. He has worked in both product management and product development roles in the networking space in several startups as well as large firms. Before Cisco, Guru worked at Nuova Systems which was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2008. At Nuova, he worked on the Nexus line of products which were the first to bring Fiber Channel over Ethernet technology to market. In addition to the data center space, he has an extensive background in wireless and enterprise access networks. Guru started his career with Cisco Systems in San Jose after graduating from Purdue University. He has filed several patents in wired and wireless networking areas.


Ravi Neelakant Bio:

Ravi Neelakant has been working at various positions within the IT industry for the last 20 years. He is currently a Technical Alliance Manager at VMware focusing on Networking solutions with the various VMware products. Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery has been a passion with him, and has been a Certified Business Continuity Planner. He worked at Unisys Corporation and SUN Microsystems as a Application Performance Analyst, and later was a Systems Architect at SUN Microsystems with a focus on design of data centers for Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery. In order to augment his networking skills he moved to Cisco Systems Inc. in the Data Center Business Unit (DCBU) where he was a Technical Marketing Engineer with the Cisco Storage group with a focus on SAN extension using various FC and IP technologies. In the last 2 years of his tenure at Cisco he focused specifically on Data Center Network Architecture for industry verticals such as Healthcare, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management.


Sanjay Aiyagari Bio:

Sanjay Aiyagari is the Senior Partner Solutions Manager for the Networking Alliances team at VMware. He is an architect for joint networking solutions and technology integrations with VMware's partners. Sanjay previously spent 11 years as an engineer at Cisco, where he was involved in making networks and applications work better together. He has led projects involving router platforms, network appliances, application optimization and financial trading applications.


Jeff Paliga Bio:

Jeff Paliga is the Director of Global Solutions for Panduit Corp, Tinley Park, Illinois. His educational background is in Engineering along with a Masters Degree in Management. He has been in the data communications industry for over twelve years and has participated in numerous standards committees. Mr. Paliga has also conducted various seminars on network infrastructure solutions. Holding positions in research and development, product design, business development and marketing has provided a broad view of global infrastructure applications and allows him to remain current on emerging industry trends and technologies.


George Demarest Bio:

George Demarest is a senior director for Oracle’s Next Generation Data Center program and is responsible for helping bring Oracle Grid Computing solutions to market.   Working with diverse groups within Oracle including Oracle Product Development, Oracle Global IT and Oracle Consulting he focuses on promoting Grid Computing technology, data center best practices and Green IT.


Rex Wang Bio:

Rex Wang is Vice President of Product Marketing at Oracle where he leads go-to-market activities for grid computing, cloud computing, enterprise architecture, modernization and embedded/OEM products. He joined Oracle through the acquisition of Sleepycat Software, where he was the Vice President of Marketing and led marketing, product management and partner development. Prior to Sleepycat, Rex headed Product Marketing, Strategic Marketing and Alliance Marketing for Openwave Systems. Before that, he was VP Product Marketing at Confer Software and a management consultant for CSC Index. He holds a BSEE degree from Caltech and MSEE and MBA degrees from Stanford University.


Jonathan Donaldson Bio:

Jonathan Donaldson is a Senior Manager for the Kilo Technology Center at NetApp based in Research Triangle Park. The Kilo Technology Center is a group of Grid, Utility, and Cloud computing architects chartered with driving NetApp technologies in these areas. Jonathan has almost 20 years experience in IT, Data Centers, Security, and Voice Technologies, including eleven years at Cisco.


Jason Blosil Bio:

Jason has over 13 years of corporate finance, product management and marketing experience.  During the last 8 years, he has been working in the data storage industry promoting RAID and IP Storage products through distributor, resale and OEM channels.  His product management and marketing experience ranges from RAID host adapters to external storage subsystems, storage controllers, and storage software.  Currently, Jason works in Solutions Marketing at NetApp promoting the advantages of iSCSI storage solutions. He is responsible for partner and product marketing, as well as thought leadership activities.  He is currently a member of the SNIA Ethernet Storage Forum Marketing Committee, as well as the Marketing Committee and Solutions Committee at Blade.org.


Mike McNamara Bio:

Mike McNamara is a senior manager, product marketing at NetApp. Mike has 20 years of marketing experience in the computer industry, with 15 years in the storage industry. Before joining NetApp over three years ago, Mike worked at Adaptec, EMC and Hewlett Packard. Mike graduated from Fairfield University, Fairfield CT with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, and holds an MBA from Clark University's Graduate School of Management, Worcester, MA. Mike is also the marketing chairperson for the Fibre Channel Industry Association (FCIA) and a regular contributor to industry journals and a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events.


Stephen Blakemore Bio:

In his role as Marquee Accounts Manager, Stephen Blakemore is responsible for relationship development and alliance interaction with several Fortune 100 technology manufacturing companies and their channel partners, together with a select group of internet service companies.  He is responsible for the creation and execution of the account strategy and leads a multi-functional team to support these customers nationally and internationally.

Stephen has been with Emerson Network Power for ten years.  Previous positions within Emerson included Director of Product Management for DC Power Systems, Telecom Vertical Business Development, Strategic Marketing and Corporate Planning.  Immediately prior to joining Emerson, he was Senior Manager at Qwest Communications responsible for network and carrier investments.  Prior to that, he was a consulting manager for Ernst & Young Real Estate Group and at Deliotte & Touche. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University.


Thomas Martin Bio:

Tom Martin is a Consultant Product Manager in the Avamar product management group responsible for the integration of Avamar into VMware. In this capacity, Mr. Martin is responsible for product integration strategy of Avamar into VMware as well as field sales support. Prior to EMC, Mr. Martin was the Director of Marketing for the Network Attached Storage Group at Sun that included the NAS, Compliance and Honeycomb platforms. Tom has also held senior sales, marketing and business development positions at storage management companies in the areas of SAN and NAS storage, SRM, backup and recovery and replication technologies.


Connie Hastings Bio:

Connie Hastings is the Global Alliance Manager for Cisco at EMC Corporation with overall responsibility for setting the partnership strategy, and overseeing joint corporate initiatives that result in improved customer experience. Connie is also a key stakeholder in EMC’s Connectrix business, a major channel for Cisco MDS and Nexus products. With over 15 years experience developing and marketing technology alliances, Connie has spanned application software, internet consulting services and compute platform infrastructure markets. Connie holds Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute.


Steve Carlini Bio:

Steven Carlini is the Global Director, Line of Business Information for APC.  In 2007, Schneider Electric acquired APC and formed the Critical Power & Cooling Services (CPCS) Business Unit, which includes the APC and MGE UPS Systems brands.  The CPCS Business Unit reported revenue of $3.6 billion in 2008 and employs 12,000 people worldwide. Schneider Electric, with 114,000 employees and operations in 190 countries, had 2008 annual sales of $24 billion (€19 billion).

Steven is responsible for managing the entire portfolio of product and solution sales collateral, positioning, value propositions and competitive analysis for the Data Center Software and Services, Home and Business Networks and Enterprise lines of business. Prior to joining APC, Steven previously ran the UPS Division for Toshiba International Corporation.  Involved with the critical power and cooling industry since 1989, Steven has been responsible for guiding the direction of many industry changing products and solutions that solve real customer problems or give businesses competitive advantages. 

A frequent speaker at industry conferences and forums, Steven presents on the foundation layer of data centers which include Power, Cooling, Power Distribution, Racks, and Management. Steven holds a BA in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and an MBA in International Business from the CT Bauer School at the University of Houston.
